CHANGING TIDES 🌊✨🧱🏴👪
A visual series around chapters that have changed my life forever ❤️🔥
Two dynamic visuals » Based around 25+ years of skateboarding and having our daughter, Banks!
Each of these visuals change from high tide to low tide every couple of minutes.
To put things in perspective, the idea is that collectors of these pieces would be able to input their zip code and visually see the local tide heights. The two main challenges have been finding a reliable weather API and the fact that many people still don’t display their artwork physically, opting to view on a phone or computer. It feels like we’re a couple of years too early for this, but hopefully in the future these features will be more accessible and can be implemented into the collection. It’s been a dream idea to have these displayed based on location.
Nicky Lamarche » 5050 on the bridge
I recently uncovered more about my family’s history and their journey to Lowell, Massachusetts. Apparently they were called “brickies" and they helped dig over 5 miles of water canals to power the city and laid the brickwork for most of the downtown buildings we skate.
As kids we used to take the bus downtown to skate around the city and 25 years later we’re still pushing around those same cobblestone streets. This video of Nicky Lamarche grinding the bridge is actually one of the water canals that my family worked on.
I was 10 when the local skatepark in my hometown was built, and it was there that I met my best friend Nicky. One day, he handed me his skateboard and said, “Try it out.” Little did I know, that moment would change the course of my life. Nearly two decades later, traveling the world with friends and pursuing a career as a professional skateboarder. Thanks Nicky for paving the way with those three words, all those van missions and inspiring hardflips :) It’s been the best thing that ever happened to me.

Scotland Docks » Isle of Skye
10 days in Scotland 🏴✨ It’s a country with some of the best stone work I’ve ever seen and has endless skate spots! The small coastal towns had mesmerizing, drastic tidal shifts that were incredible. High tide was miles of water and low tide was open land with boats sitting in the sand.
While on the Isle of Skye, we came across this harbor in the middle of nowhere that had a gritty little skate spot. Skating these two floating docks from this perspective, I knew we had to come back to capture the same angle for low tide.
There was this sense of magic that my wife and I both felt while we were there and little did we know that magic would follow us back home. It was only weeks later that we found out we were going to be parents!! This summer we welcomed our daughter Banks, the embodiment of that magic :)

Manny Santiago » Reseda
For those who collected both visuals — Nicky's 5050 and Scotland Docks — you’ve received an airdrop of Manny skating above the LA freeway. All the holders of this edition are in for a surprise: an entry into a raffle for this 1/1 above.
For new collectors — (Please note that my editions have a glitch at the end of the video and don’t loop infinitely).
If you watch the video above, there’s something magical in the backtail around the 25-second mark. After hours of editing, I managed to get this line to loop forever.
On two separate occasions, I drove up to Los Angeles at 6 AM to shoot the exact same angle of Manny’s original line. My goal was to capture a shot of the traffic below the bridge, but the cars were rushing by. Heading back home, just five minutes up the road, I found myself stuck in traffic :) After 10 hours of driving, I finally got back home and edited this desolate view of Los Angeles with Manny skating through

How to get started?
First, you’ll need a digital wallet: https://metamask.io/
When you get your wallet setup, don’t store your password & seed phrase on your phone. Treat it like a passport and keep this info in a safe place.
Next, you’re going to need some Ethereum (ETH) which is a digital currency. Coinbase is a good place to purchase ETH with your local currency and sending it to your digital wallet Ethereum address.
Head over to the collection page. Connect your digital wallet to the exchange and you can put an offer in on the secondary market. Please shoot me a message if you need any help getting started.
